People say I'm:
When asked who I am,
I usually answer that I am an elf pretending to be a human....,
I am an elf. Ever since I was old enough to walk,
I've been drifting off into the forest to watch the animals and listen to the earth. I've always felt a calling to nature,
and,
even more strongly,
an innate calling to magick. People that know me often call me an elf because I'm so small and because I'm such a nature person. I have memories of other times,
other places,
other lives,
but,
like I said it's more of an innate feeling than anything else.,
Trying to explain is like a normal person trying to explain why they think they're human... or maybe I'm just insane. There are other Fey out there,
and I know some of them. There are others out there who are not elves,
but are not of this world,
either. Stuffed into human bodies as well,
there are dragons and were-creatures and beings I cannot define. We are here for a reason,
and that reason is to keep the magic alive that so many people on this planet have forgotten to see. A time will come when we will need it. But for now,
we are having fun.

Describe Yourself:
The Sudden Magical Journey to Enchantment Of A Fantasy Artist!!!!
I am Lillian & I came into the world on the 29 of May, 1969. Spending much of my childhood and teen years in a small town in Greece, I was never aware of fairies, elves & all this kind of existence. Nobody had ever talk to me about these charming "little people". Even though Greece has been a land of mythology with many Goddesses & Muses, fantasy has never been available to public at large. I have been drawing from the moment I learned how to hold a pencil! Back to my childhood, as a lonely child in my family ( 8 years apart from my older sister ), my drawing skills had been developing at an incredible rate by drawing invisible friends to keep me away from that loneliness .
I first studied applied arts in Greece and after I left my country to live in London where I established myself as a Fashion Designer for 10 years. In UK I graduated from University of London with a Bachelor Degree in Art & Design and specialised in Fashion Technology & Business. Though I did study art first, I had never considered myself as an artist. I never felt that had something to say by painting & drawing a pieace of art.
In 2004 I resigned my job in UK following my presend husband & boyfriend at that time to France where I currently reside. My fashion background allowed me to work in France as a customer consultant at a local shopping center. However in 2005 I left my fashion career to become a full time mother to my son who was born two months premature. Alex was already 5 months old when I started building a website for him dedicated to his prematurity. While I was working on the layout of his website on the internet, I came across with the fantasy & fairy art of Jessica Galbreth, Amy Brown, Meredith Dillman, Nene Thomas ....and more. That was the first time of seeing this kind of art and I felt immediately in love. The discovery of fantasy/fairy art made me really develope an incredible passion for it. I had always been into spirituality and mysticism and Iam fachinated by the idea that we can not see everything & there is more of what we can see. This sort of art brought to me a great believe and a glorious creative imagination. It actually made my way back to my childhood.
I am living in a country side house surrounded by enchanted woods which they are a constant source of inspiration to me. Motivated by my love of nature and heavily influenced by many great fantasy artists, I began drawing & painting.
Even though I had taken a number of life drawing classes in the past, I remain for the most part a self-taught artist. I love watercolor and I constantly read books on watercolor techniques and study the work of other artists. However, after struggling to find an approach to my art that speaks to me, I have come into my own style. I also developed my own way of using the well known technique of watercolor & sault. I mainly use watercolor, ink and colored pencil and I plan to explore other mediums such as acrylics in the very near future. I do not keep a sketchbook, neither do a lot of pre-work such as roughs or color studies, and do not ever rework my pieces. When the muse strikes, I usually have a rough idea to what I want the finished image to look like. I get my inspiration from almost anything… books, stories, fashion photos & magazines , other artist works, dreaming. I always write down ideas or collect photos from magazines & books for my next projects.
